The old China House Restaurant at 925 Eglinton Ave W has closed it’s doors to make way for ‘The Hill’ Condominiums by the BSaR development group.
According to a City of Toronto development application, the developer plans to build a new 9 storey building with 3 levels of below grade parking. They’d like to have 94 residential units . The existing 2 storey building (China House) is to be demolished to make way for the new condo that will be built on properties 925-935 Eglinton Ave. W.
Core Architects are the team behind the design for the The Hill Condos and had the following to say about it on it’s website: “This mid-town condo features extensive terracing at the rear of a strong retail presence on Eglinton. The podium will evoke a traditional masonry building feel, while the glazed condo is more modern.”
This is an intimate condo with 24/7 concierge service, an entertainment lounge, a private dining room, outdoor BBQ and furnished guest suites among the amenities. Occupancy is scheduled for the summer of 2014.
Another project currently in development by BSaR is ’12 Degrees’ Condominiums, at Beverley and Queen St (in Queen West).
